Location:Exeter(covering sites across the South West)
Rate:£32.00 per hour
Hours:45 hours per week

Duration:Ongoing moving across multiple projects throughout the South West

Mechanical Supervisor Utilities / Civil Engineering Projects

We are currently recruiting for an experiencedMechanical Supervisorto support amajor utilities and civil engineering projectstarting inHolsworthy, with ongoing work acrossmultiple infrastructure sites throughout the South West.

This role will involve supervising mechanical installation works associated withutility infrastructure, pipelines, pumping stations, and civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will oversee site mechanical teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications.

This isongoing temporary contract work, with the opportunity to move between projects as works progress across the region

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervisemechanical installation works on utilities and civil engineering projects

  • Manage and coordinatemechanical fitters, labourers, and subcontractors on site

  • Ensure works are carried out in line withproject specifications and safety standards

  • Conductsite inspections and quality checkson mechanical installations

  • Work closely withsite managers, project managers, and engineering teams

  • Ensure compliance withmethod statements, risk assessments, and permit systems

  • Monitor progress and assist with maintainingproject timelines

  • Reviewtechnical drawings and mechanical installation plans

  • Coordinatematerials, plant, and mechanical resources on site

Requirements
  • Proven experience working as aMechanical Supervisor within utilities, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects

  • Strong knowledge ofmechanical installations associated with utility infrastructure

  • Experience supervisingsite teams and subcontractors

  • Strong understanding ofconstruction health and safety procedures

  • Ability to work acrossmultiple project sites

Essential Qualifications
  • EUSR Card (Essential)

  • SSSTS or SMSTS

  • CSCS Card

  • Relevant Mechanical Qualification or NVQ

  • Full UK Driving Licence

Project & Location Details

The project willinitially start in Exeter, with the role coveringmultiple infrastructure sites across the South Westas projects progress.
