Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: W12 Postcode area - West London
Contract Type: Permanent (Static Site)
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Overtime + Benefits
Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established M&E specialist contractor, delivering building services maintenance within a high-end commercial office environment in West London.
This is a static role based within a large, modern office campus, working as part of a sizeable on site engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all mechanical systems are maintained to the highest standards, supporting a first-class client environment.
The role operates on a rotating shift pattern: 7:00–16:00, 8:00–17:00, and 10:00–19:00.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems
* Maintain and repair HVAC plant including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and associated equipment
* Fault finding and troubleshooting across a range of mechanical systems
* Monitor plant performance and ensure optimal efficiency
* Work closely with the wider engineering team to ensure service delivery excellence
* Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations and site procedures
* Liaise with subcontractors and support specialist service visits when required
* Accurately complete all maintenance documentation and reports
Required Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Recognised Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent)
* Proven experience working within commercial building services environments
* Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical plant
* Experience carrying out both PPM and reactive maintenance
Desirable:
* Experience working in large corporate or critical environments
* Knowledge of BMS systems
* Additional qualifications such as L8 / water hygiene
