Job Description
Were looking for an experienced Mechanical Pump Engineer / Pipefitter (Field Based) to join our market-leading client, a specialist in pumping equipment solutions with over 60 years experience, covering the Southeast (mainly M25 corridor, occasional trips into London)!
Youll mainly work on wastewater sites, carrying out servicing, breakdown response, and installation of pumping systems, often working alongside a skilled Electrical Engineer. This is a MondayFriday, day-shift role with minimal overnight stays (approx. once a fortnight) and no weekend working.
Ideal for mechanically skilled candidates including plumbers, pipefitters, or engineers with experience in pumps, valves, pipework, water treatment, drainage, or utilities. Full training provided.
All applicants must be commutable to the Orpington area.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!
What youll be doing
Service, install, and commission pumps, valves, pipework, pumping stations, and kiosks
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults
Respond to breakdowns and service calls
Complete site reports and maintain accurate records
Follow health & safety procedures and deliver excellent customer service
Travel across the Southeast with rare overnight stays
Hours
Monday to Friday (day shifts only) - 40 hours per week
Flexibility required (no weekends)
Pay
£35,000 - £40,000 basic, OTE up to £50,000 per annum
Overtime paid at time 1/3 & time
+ annual company performance bonus!
Skills/Experience Required
Essential
Hands-on experience with pumps, valves, pipework, or similar
UK driving licence
Preferred
Experience on wastewater or clean water sites
Mechanical engineering or utility maintenance background
CSCS, First Aid, or Confined Space training
Transferable skills from plumbers, pipefitters, or similar roles considered full training provided.
