Mechanical Project Manager – Residential Scheme (London)

Rate: £325 per day CIS

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-owned mechanical contractor for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee a residential scheme based in London.

The company has been operating successfully for over 30 years and delivers high-quality mechanical services to major developers including Fairview Homes, Countryside, and Bellway Homes. With a turnover of approximately £35 million, they have built a solid reputation in the residential sector, delivering projects to the highest standard.

Role Overview:

As Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all mechanical aspects of the project from pre-construction through to handover. You’ll ensure the successful delivery of the works in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations, whilst working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.

Responsibilities:

Oversee mechanical installations including heating, hot and cold-water systems, above ground drainage, and ventilation

*

Manage site labour and subcontractors to meet project timelines

*

Attend site meetings with clients and other stakeholders

*

Review technical drawings, specifications, and programme requirements

*

Monitor health and safety compliance and ensure RAMS are in place

*

Manage procurement and coordinate with supply chain partners

*

Ensure quality control and assist with commissioning and handover

*

Provide regular progress reports to senior management

Requirements:

*

Proven experience managing mechanical packages on residential schemes

*

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and building regulations

*

Excellent coordination and leadership skills

*

Ability to work closely with main contractors, consultants, and developers

*

SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications are

*

Strong communication and reporting skills
