The Role
The Mechanical Project Manager is responsible for the successful management of all mechanical services from initial client engagement through to final handover and the end of the warranty period. This role is critical in ensuring project delivery meets service, profitability, technical, and client satisfaction objectives.
As a key representative of the business, the Project Manager is expected to embody and promote company values including integrity, dependability, safety, pride, and quality.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an experienced mechanical management professional to lead the delivery of mechanical works on a major construction project. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, confident leadership, and the ability to drive programme performance, quality standards, and commercial outcomes.
Key Requirements
- Strong background in mechanical systems, MEP coordination, and installation on complex projects
- Solid commercial awareness, including cost control and budget management
- Good understanding of HSE standards related to MEP works
- Proven ability to manage internal teams, subcontractors, and external partners
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with clients and design teams
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the transition from Estimating to Construction
- Work closely with the Project Director to ensure appropriate project resourcing
- Validate the project scope and establish business plans, cost controls, cash flow forecasts, and billing schedules
- Prepare key project documentation including procurement plans, design programmes, master schedules, S-curves, and resource histograms
- Oversee implementation of project safety and quality plans
- Mobilise subcontractors and labour in line with the agreed delivery strategy
- Ensure all project measures and deliverables are fully aligned prior to commencement of construction
