Contracts: TfL and London Underground substations.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager to support the delivery of air conditioning and mechanical works across London Underground / TfL infrastructure projects. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while managing complex stakeholder environments.
This opportunity would also suit an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer looking to transition into project management.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee air conditioning / mechanical installation projects across London Underground sites
* Ensure delivery in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations
* Take ownership of Detailed Technical Submissions (DTS) and associated documentation
* Utilise and manage document management systems to a high standard
* Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Engage and manage stakeholders across TfL and internal leadership
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety and TfL standards
* Provide regular progress updates and reporting
* Proactively identify and mitigate risks and challenges
Key Requirements
* Strong experience in document management systems (critical requirement)
* Proven experience managing Detailed Design / Technical Submissions (DTS)
* Background in mechanical engineering or air conditioning (HVAC)
* Experience working within London Underground / TfL environments (highly desirable)
* Strong stakeholder management skills — ability to manage upwards and downwards effectively
* Ability to operate in high-pressure, demanding client environments
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day.
Pay: £350 per day (CIS)
There is an option for this position to be a permanent role, if permanent employment is of interest.
