Mechanical Project Manager\n\nPrime Central London Refurbishment | £36M MEP Package | Major MEP Contractor \n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWant to lead a flagship mechanical package on one of Central London’s most high-profile refurbishments?\n\nWe are working with a leading building services contractor delivering a major £36M MEP refurbishment of a prime commercial asset in the West End.\n\nThe scheme involves a full transformation of an existing building, taking it through shell & core upgrade and into high-spec commercial space, requiring complex phasing, coordination, and high-end delivery standards.\n\nThis is a key role within the project team, offering full ownership of the mechanical package on a technically challenging, logistically complex central London scheme.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs Mechanical Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of the mechanical services package from design and procurement through to installation, commissioning, and handover.\n\nYou will work closely with senior project leadership, managing subcontractors, driving programme, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety on site.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProject Leadership\n\nTake full ownership of the mechanical package on a major commercial refurbishment Lead the project from pre-construction through to completion and handover \n\nEnsure delivery in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations\n\nDesign & Technical Management\n\nManage the development and coordination of mechanical design\n\nReview drawings, specifications, and technical submissions\n\nIdentify and resolve design clashes and technical challenges\n\nEnsure compliance with all regulations, standards, and client requirements\n\nProcurement & Commercial Awareness\n\nOversee procurement of mechanical plant, materials, and subcontract packages\n\nDevelop and manage procurement schedules aligned to programme\n\nWork closely with commercial teams on cost control and reporting\n\nMonitor project performance against budget and targets\n\nConstruction & Delivery\n\nManage site teams and subcontractors to ensure efficient delivery\n\nCoordinate mechanical installation with other trades and main contractor\n\nDrive programme and sequencing across a constrained central London site\n\nEnsure works are delivered safely and to the highest quality standards\n\nStakeholder Management\n\nAct as the key point of contact for mechanical services on the project\n\nBuild strong relationships with client, consultants, and main contractor\n\nLead and contribute to progress meetings and reporting\n\nCommissioning & Handover\n\nManage mechanical commissioning strategy and execution\n\nOversee testing, snagging, and final handover processes\n\nEnsure a smooth transition to completion with minimal defects\n\nThe Candidate\n\nProven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on large commercial projects\n\nStrong background delivering refurbishment or shell & core schemes in London\n\nExperience managing mechanical packages typically £10M+\n\nStrong technical understanding of mechanical building services\n\nExperience managing projects through design, procurement, and delivery phases\n\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills\n\nAbility to manage complex logistics and sequencing in a live/central London environment\n\nWhy Join\n\nOpportunity to deliver a landmark West End commercial refurbishment\n\nHigh -profile project with a £35M MEP value\n\nStrong pipeline of similar central London schemes\n\nClear progression into senior project leadership roles\n\nCompetitive salary and package
