Are you an experienced Mechanical Project Manager looking for a refreshing change? Our Southampton based client, a reputable main contractorwith a strong pipeline of work across commercial, healthcare, education, and mixed‑use developments, is seeking a confident and capable Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing delivery team.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical delivery of projects from pre‑construction through to handover
Manage project programmes, budgets, and resource planning
Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery
Work closely with commercial teams on cost control, variations, and procurement
Attend client meetings, design reviews, and site progress meetings
Ensure all mechanical installations meet technical specifications and industry standards
Drive health & safety compliance across all project activities
Produce project reports, risk assessments, and handover documentation
Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
About You
Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within a main contractor or M&E contractor
Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services (HVAC, public health, plant rooms, etc.)
Confident managing multiple stakeholders and leading project teams
Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and variations
Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
Strong communication and leadership skills
Full UK driving licence
