Job Description
Role: Mechanical Project Manager – Pre-Construction / Design Management
Location: London – 4 days a week in office 1 day work from home
Contract Duration: 6 months (potential extension)
Rate: Outside IR35 | DOE
Start Date: ASAP
About the Company
g2 is partnered with a leading Design & Build Contractor in London who specialise in delivering large-scale developments with live Commercial, Residential and Data Centre Projects! With a growing pipeline of projects, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with pre-construction and design management expertise to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
Collating and reviewing Technical Submissions, ensuring compliance, and issuing for design team review (closing out A/B status responses)
Managing and coordinating the appointed design consultancy
Overseeing Contractor Design Portion (CDP) packages, including sprinkler systems, risers, smoke extract, and BMS
Acting as the key link between pre-construction, design, and delivery teams to ensure technical compliance and design progression
Supporting client and consultant engagement throughout the pre-construction phase
Key Requirements
Strong experience as a Mechanical Engineer within Building Services, with a focus on pre-construction and design management
Proven track record on residential, commercial and preferably Data Centre Projects (not essential)
Excellent knowledge of technical compliance and CDP elements
Familiarity with ASITE/Aconex (or similar platforms)
