We are currently working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded M&E contractor to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a flagship £15m M&E commercial fit-out project in Central London.
Our client is a privately owned contractor with an annual turnover of circa £80m, delivering complex mechanical and electrical packages for prestigious, high-end commercial clients across London. With a strong pipeline of secured work and an excellent reputation for quality delivery, they are now looking to strengthen their project delivery team.
The Role
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the mechanical package from Stage 4 design through to Practical Completion. You will play a key role in coordinating design, managing subcontractors, and ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the mechanical package across all project phases from Stage 4 through to PC
Coordinate with design teams, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring quality and programme adherence
Monitor project progress, budgets, and risk
Ensure compliance with health & safety and company standards
Report directly to senior leadership and contribute to project strategyRequirements
Proven experience delivering M&E commercial fit-out projects of similar scale
Strong mechanical background with relevant industry qualifications
SMSTS certification is essential
Demonstrated experience managing projects from Stage 4 design through to completion
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing environmentWhat's on Offer
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 (depending on experience)
