This opportunity is with a well-established contractor operating within the clean and wastewater industry, delivering a wide range of mechanical and civil engineering works across treatment and utility sites.
Typically this person will be an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer from a clean water, wastewater, utilities, or heavy engineering background, comfortable working on live sites and supporting Project Managers with site delivery. They will be organised, proactive, and safety focused.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Project Engineer:Assisting Project Managers in the delivery of mechanical projectsCoordinating site activities, sub contractors, and suppliersSupporting works including general pipework, handrail and steelwork, linings, pump installations, and associated mechanical worksEnsuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specificationAssisting with planning, progress reporting, and site documentationLiaising with site teams, engineers, and client representatives
Essential Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience in a Mechanical Project Engineer or similar roleBackground within the clean or wastewater sector preferredStrong understanding of mechanical installations and site-based worksKnowledge of health & safety procedures and working on live sitesGood communication and organisational skillsRelevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
