Salary: £62,500 (+ Bonus up to 10% = Circa £6000)
Shift: Panama - 2s and 3s (Days and Nights)
Location: London Gateway Port, Stanford-le-Hope
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading distribution business at London Gateway Port. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical systems within a large-scale logistics facility.
Skills Required for the Mechanical Technician:
Recognised mechanical qualification (Min NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3) Experience with mechanical maintenance, installations, and fault-finding Strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings Experience working with cranes, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and bearings MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING AT HEIGHTS Duties of the Mechanical Technician:
Mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations within a busy distribution centre Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults to minimise downtime Conducting routine servicing and inspections of mechanical equipment Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards The Mechanical Technician will benefit from:
