Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Full Time, Permanent
Salary from £31,000 - £34,000 (to be updated)
What you will need, matching suitable candidates are:

  • NVQ Level 3 Engineering Maintenance
  • Driving Licence
  • Right attitude & Skill Set: hard working, polite and customer focused, willing learn and be adaptable
  • Higher Education, Armed Services or Public Sector are sectors to consider due to similar working cultures / environments and easier transition
  • Equally candidates with less experience but the right skills and willing to learn and commit to developing
  • 90% Domestic Plumbing: TRVs, sinks, taps, showers, toilets (no issues with core equipment)
  • 150 building with a range of materials they'll work with. E.g. Listed building with lead piping to new Helix building with heat pumps
  • Steady workload with peak periods of increased maintenance. E.g. during exam period and the use of toilets
  • Current team of 10 split across Heat Engineers and Plumbers - aim is to merge the two teams
  • Full time, 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday
  • On Call rotation Monday - Sunday during non-working hours once every 10 weeks approximately = £160 on call payment.
