About the Role:

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery in a clean room environment. Your mechanical expertise will help maintain high standards in production, all while working alongside a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance on a range of packaging machinery. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults, focusing on:- Basic pneumatics - Bearings - Gearboxes - Mechanical linkages and assemblies

Utilise your excellent hand tool knowledge to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently. Collaborate with the electrical team when necessary to ensure optimal machine performance. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in the food manufacturing or packaging sector is highly desirable. A mechanical bias is essential; electrical knowledge is a plus but not required. Strong familiarity with hand tools and their applications. A proactive approach to preventive maintenance, while also being adaptable to reactive repairs. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, clean room environment, wearing necessary gear such as hair nets and facial hair nets.
