REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - DAYS ONLY Key Job Responsibilities Breakdown & Repair: Rapidly diagnose and repair faults in hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Preventative Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, component replacement (filters, gears, valves), and calibration. Equipment Coverage: Maintain heavy plant equipment including overhead cranes, mobile plant, and conveyor systems. Documentation: Record all maintenance activities, repairs, and technical data in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict health & safety, COSHH, and permit-to-work procedures. Operational Support: Work with production teams to optimize plant efficiency and participate in shutdown planning. Qualifications required: Apprenticeship: Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance.
