Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineering Maintenance professional ready to take the next step in your career? A well-established college in West Cumbria is seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join their team as a Mechanical Engineering Maintenance Lecturer.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move into teaching-no prior teaching experience is required. If you have industry knowledge and a desire to inspire the next generation of engineers, full teacher training and qualifications will be provided.

The Role:
You will deliver engaging and practical learning to a diverse group of students, including full-time learners and apprentices. Teaching will take place across both workshop environments and classroom-based theory sessions, helping students develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching in mechanical engineering maintenance

• Support and assess students across practical and theoretical learning

• Contribute to curriculum development and student progression

• Provide guidance and mentorship to learners at various stages of their training

Requirements:

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering Maintenance (or equivalent)

• Relevant industry experience in mechanical engineering

• A passion for developing others and sharing knowledge

• Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification (fully funded)
