Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: South East London, Plumstead (SE28) Salary: £46,000 Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30
We are recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join an on-site engineering team supporting a large multi-tenanted property in Plumstead, South East London. The role focuses on delivering planned preventative maintenance and reactive works across mechanical building services systems.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer • Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance within a commercial building. • Maintain and repair HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and associated plant equipment. • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime. • Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety and compliance standards. • Accurately complete maintenance reports and job documentation.
About You as the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer • Minimum 3 years’ experience within a building services environment. • Relevant mechanical qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent). • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. • Reliable, professional, and able to work independently on-site.
