Job Description
Location; Bradford\nWe are working with a global leader in glass manufacturing and glazing solutions, operating one of the UK’s most established and technically advanced industrial sites in Bradford. The business is part of a wider international group, recognised for its innovation in float glass technology, continuous investment in production facilities, and commitment to engineering excellence across multiple sectors including architectural, automotive and technical glass.\nThis is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the days team (8am–4pm), working within a structured engineering environment with clear discipline separation, allowing you to focus purely on mechanical reliability, fault finding and proactive maintenance. You will be working alongside a highly skilled engineering team, with strong knowledge sharing and genuine progression opportunities within a global organisation.\nResponsibilities of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:\n * Carry out planned preventative maintenance to maximise plant reliability across heavy industrial glass processing equipment\n * Undertake planned and emergency mechanical repairs in a safe, efficient and timely manner\n * Complete all maintenance activity using CMMS/SAP systems, ensuring accurate recording of work\n * Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on complex production and processing equipment\n * Work in line with strict safety standards and industry best practice in a high-risk manufacturing environment\n * Develop Risk Assessments and Method Statements for engineering activities\n * Support contractors during planned shutdowns and maintenance windows\n * Manage and maintain critical spares and consumables to support plant uptime\nQualifications & skills of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:\n * NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)\n * Experience within a manufacturing, process, or heavy industrial environment\n * CMMS/SAP experience desirable\n * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability on mechanical systems\nBenefits of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:\n * Days based position: 8am–4pm Monday to Friday (excellent work/life balance)\n * Basic salary £42,000\n * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 27 days with service\n * Group Personal Pension Plan, with up to 8% employer contribution\n * Bonus scheme (based on business performance and not guaranteed)\n * Free parking\nIf you feel this Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role is right for you, please reach out to Becky Prince at Maintech Recruitment.\nPlease note this client is unable to offer sponsorship, you will require full rights to work in the UK.\nMaintech Recruitment - Engineering Great Careers!\nMaintech Recruitment are an equal opportunities agency and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of , , belief, political opinion, , , , marital status or .
