Mechanical Fitting Lead
Typically, this person will be responsible for mechanical assembly and installation of components on industrial water treatment systems. This role also includes leading a 3-man team of mechanical fitters, to fit and align pumps, valves, brackets, gauges, and other mechanical elements on large industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical fitting skills, a high level of precision, and a proactive approach to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Supervision
· Oversee daily shop floor operations and ensure production schedules are achieved.
· Assign tasks to production workers.
· Minimize downtime and address bottlenecks promptly.
· Lead by example
2. Team Leadership
· Supervise, train, and mentor shop floor personnel.
· Conduct shift briefings and communicate production goals.
· Enforce company policies and discipline when necessary.
· Foster teamwork and maintain high morale among workers.
3. Quality Control
· Ensure products meet company and customer quality standards.
· Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Coordinate with the Quality Control department on inspections and corrective actions.
· Investigate and resolve quality issues.
4. Health & Safety Compliance
· Enforce workplace safety regulations and company safety policies.
· Conduct regular safety checks and toolbox talks.
· Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Report and document accidents or near-miss incidents.
5. Equipment & Maintenance Coordination
· Monitor machine performance and ensure proper operation.
· Coordinate preventive maintenance with the maintenance department.
· Report equipment breakdowns and follow up on repairs.
· Ensure tools and materials are available for production.
6. Reporting & Documentation
· Maintain daily production reports and shift logs.
· Track attendance, overtime, and workforce performance.
· Report production output, delays, and issues to management.
· Maintain inventory usage and material records.
Required Qualifications
· Diploma or technical certification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field (preferred).
· 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
· Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Hours of Work: 40 per week, 7am – 3pm Monday to Friday
