Position: Mechanical FitterLocation: BristolWork: Full time Permanent DayshiftSalary: £30,700 to £31000 per annumWe are now seeking to recruit a mechanical fitter for a busy manufacturing company specialising in building packaging machines. The appropriate candidate will have previous experience in mechanical assembly or mechanical fitting to set specifications.Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Fitter.• To fit and assemble machine parts accurately to engineering drawing.• To accurately fit sub assembly parts using engineering drawings.• Use hand tools and power tools to fit and assemble components.• Use engineering measuring equipment where necessary to ensure components are to specification.• Strip / prepare machines• Install machines at customer sites as necessary• Ensure safe systems of work are always adhered to and ensure any issues are reported immediately to management.• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and stored safely.Qualifications & Requirements – Mechanical Fitter• Mechanical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in relevant discipline – desirable• Proven ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings• Pneumatics and Hydraulic knowledge advantageous.• Excellent communication skillsWhat we can offer – Mechanical Fitter• company pension plan• Plenty of regular & 2.0 X• employee incentive plan• Progression opportunitiesIf you think this is appropriate opportunity, please email your CV to or contact Marta on 01453 852 542Omega is an employment agency specialising in opportunities at all levels within the Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Energy & Renewables and Tech sectors.
