I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Bournemouth, who are looking to appoint a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Fitter to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to work within a structured and quality-driven environment where precision and workmanship are highly valued.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery. This Mechanical Fitter position requires a high level of accuracy, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently.

In this Mechanical Fitter role, your responsibilities will include:

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to assemble mechanical equipment and machinery
Measuring and assembling components with a high level of accuracy and precision
Installing and aligning mechanical components in line with specifications
Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical faults and malfunctions
Collaborating with engineers and production teams to ensure smooth workflow
Maintaining high standards of quality throughout the assembly process
Adhering to all health and safety regulations at all times
Keeping work areas clean, organised, and efficientTo be successful in this Mechanical Fitter position, you will need:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Solid understanding of mechanical assembly techniques and high-tolerance measurements
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
