Job Description
This is a hands-on position focused on the assembly, fitting, and maintenance of a range of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, fit, and test mechanical components and machinery
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical diagrams
- Work with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Carry out maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs
- Ensure all work meets required quality and safety standards
- Support machinery builds and assist with occasional installation work
- Proven experience in mechanical fitting or machinery assembly
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Solid knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g. bearings, moving parts)
- Basic electrical or hydraulic knowledge is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or similar) desirable
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Up to £33,500 per annum
- Overtime and bonus opportunities
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm), with overtime available
