Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.Where will you be working?This role will be within ourMEICA and capital maintenance team.Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.We're seeking a practical, hands-on mechanical technician to work on installation, maintenance, and repairs of water sector equipment - this is not a design or CAD role. The role is field-based and requires experience using tools, fault-finding, and working on mechanical systems such as pumps, valves, pipework and rotating equipment.What will you be doing?You will be responsible for maintaining various water assets, including: CSO valvesPenstocksHydraulic Power Units (HPUs)Isolation gatesInspection of chambers and valve equipmentOil equipment inspection, including draining and replacing oil systemsInspection of fixed equipment (fixed ladders, safety bars, grills, etc.)Utilising tooling and measuring equipment, in accordance with engineering drawings and layoutsOperating lifting equipment and following approved processes for plant equipment transportationSupporting reactive works during breakdownsWhats essential?
