Mechanical Fitter – Modular Build Projects at Mercury Hampton Ltd

Location: Droitwich
Rate: £22-23 per hour (first 38 hours)

Overtime & Weekend Rates

Overtime (beyond 38 hours & Saturday morning): £36 per hour (1.5x)

Double Time (Saturday afternoon & Sunday): £48 per hour (2x)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team working on modular plant room builds. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with expertise in pipework installation, pump fitting, and valve assembly within industrial or modular construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

Install mechanical systems in modular plant rooms

Fit pipework, valves, and pumps according to specifications

Work accurately from technical drawings and isometric diagrams

Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards

Collaborate effectively with fabricators, welders, and electricians on-site

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience in mechanical fitting, including pipework, valves, and pumps

Ability to read and interpret technical/mechanical drawings

Proficient with hand and power tools for mechanical assembly

Previous experience in modular builds or industrial/mechanical settings

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification (preferred)

Valid CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification
