I am currently working with a well-established machinery manufacturer based in Warrington, they are looking to add an Assembler to their growing engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assembler to join a business that designs and manufactures high quality, bespoke machinery and has recently launched a new range of equipment. The company is experiencing sustained growth, continued investment, and a strong order book. This is an exciting opportunity for Assembler looking for long term progression.

The Role of the Assembler

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the mechanical build and assembly of machinery from engineering drawings, working as part of a skilled production and assembly team.

Key responsibilities of the Assembler

• Mechanical fitting and assembly of bespoke machinery and equipment

• Building sub-assemblies and full machine builds

• Working from detailed engineering drawings and assembly instructions

• Installing mechanical components such as drives, gearboxes, bearings, motors, guards and frames

• Carrying out basic fault finding and rectification during build and test stages

• Supporting machine testing, commissioning, and final build sign off

• Working with pneumatics and basic electrical components where required

• Ensuring work is completed to quality, safety, and build standards

Requirements of the Assembler

Engineering qualifications
At least 2 years mechanical fitting or machinery assembly experience
Experience building and assembling machinery within industrial equipment environments
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Some electrical knowledge
Experience working with pneumatic systems
