Location:Launceston (covering sites across the South West)
Rate:£27.00 per hour
Hours:45 hours per week
Job Type:Temporary / Contract
Start Date:Approximately 6 weeks from now
Duration:Ongoing moving across multiple projects throughout the South West

Mechanical Fitter Utilities / Civil Engineering Projects

We are currently recruiting for experiencedMechanical Fittersto work on amajor utilities and civil engineering projectstarting inHolsworthy, with work continuing acrossmultiple infrastructure sites throughout the South West.

The role will involve installing, maintaining, and supporting mechanical systems associated withutility infrastructure, pumping stations, pipelines, and civil engineering works.

This isongoing temporary contract work, with the opportunity to move between projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry outmechanical installation work on utilities and civil engineering sites

  • Install and maintainmechanical systems including pipework, pumps, and associated equipment

  • Work fromengineering drawings and technical specifications

  • Support theMechanical Supervisor and site management team

  • Assist withtesting, commissioning, and maintenance activities

  • Ensure all work complies withhealth and safety procedures

  • Carry outequipment installation, assembly, and fault finding

  • Maintain high standards ofsite safety and workmanship

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as aMechanical Fitter within utilities, infrastructure, or construction environments

  • Ability to read and work fromengineering drawings

  • Experience installingmechanical infrastructure equipment

  • Good teamwork and communication skills

  • Ability to work acrossmultiple project sites
