Mechanical Fitter – Water Industry

We’re currently looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support works across a wastewater treatment site (Thanes Water Framework).

This is a hands-on role working on installation, maintenance and refurbishment of mechanical equipment within live process environments.

Duties:

* Installation of mechanical equipment including pumps, valves and pipework

* Working on water / wastewater treatment works and pumping stations

* Carrying out maintenance, upgrades and refurbishment of plant

* Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and P&IDs

* Working to RAMS and site H&S standards

* Supporting commissioning and testing activities where required

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter within industrial or water environments

* Strong background working with pipework, pumps and valves

* Ability to work from drawings and technical specifications

* CSCS Card (or equivalent)

* Confined Space (preferred but not essential)

* EUSR Water Hygiene (advantageous)
