Job Description Our client is a well-established specialist machinery manufacturer and is looking to recruit a Skilled Mechanical Fitter to support the build and installation of bespoke friction welding machinery . This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value equipment in a hands-on engineering environment with international travel and long-term progression . The Role As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly, build, installation, and commissioning of friction welding machinery. Working closely with Design and Engineering teams, you’ll play a key role in delivering projects from workshop build through to customer handover. Key responsibilities include: Assembly and fitting of machine sub-assemblies including spindles, clamps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and lubrication systems Reading and interpreting mechanical assembly drawings , hydraulic and pneumatic schematics Installation of hydraulic, lubrication, and pneumatic systems On-site installation, upgrades, and repairs at customer sites in the UK and worldwide Operating machine shop equipment including mills, lathes, and grinders Inspection of components using
