Mechanical Fitter - Pumps

Due to company growth and increase in workload we are looking for an experienced Pump Fitter to join a leading business based near Wakefield. This role provides the opportunity to work for a leading international business on a range of pump systems.

The successful candidate MUST have demonstrable experience working in a similar role overhauling rotating equipment in a workshop environment to be considered for this role.

Candidates must also be time served in a Mechanical discipline.

Hours – 37.5 hours per week.

Role Description

* Installation, removal and overhaul of Pumps.

* Strip down and report condition of rotating equipment prior to repair

* Advise and recommend corrective actions.

* Carry out Risk Assessments and Permits to work

* Working closely with other team members to ensure all work is carried out in a timely manner and to the required quality standard.

Skills / Qualifications

* Candidates will ideally be time served in a Mechanical Discipline

* Demonstrable experience in overhaul of Rotating Equipment – Pumps/ Turbines/ Motors

* Ability to accurately read, review and interpret manufacturing designs, drawing and schematics

* Experienced in carrying out risk assessments and permits to work.

* Confident working under your own supervision
