Mobile Mechanical Engineer (Hydraulics / Heavy Plant)
Location: Warwickshire (base)
Coverage: UK-wide travel with stays away
Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE + Door-to-Door travel pay + Digs paid & arranged
Cloud Recruitment are working with a well-established engineering business within the heavy plant sector. Due to growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Mechanical Engineer with strong hydraulics knowledge to cover nationwide breakdowns, servicing and repairs.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, fault-finding and travelling, with regular UK-wide travel and stays away (digs fully arranged and paid).
The Role
As a Mobile Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
*
Mobile maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy plant equipment
*
Mechanical fault finding and diagnosis on heavy plant
*
Hydraulics repairs including hoses, pumps, valves, rams and hydraulic systems
*
Breakdown response and planned servicing across UK customer sites
*
Completing paperwork/job sheets and reporting findings clearly
*
Representing the business professionally on customer sites
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
*
Strong mechanical engineering background with proven hydraulics experience
*
Experience working on heavy plant / construction plant / mobile plant / agricultural machinery / HGV / REME / plant equipment
*
Confident fault-finding ability and hands-on repair experience
*
Flexibility to travel across the UK, including stays away when required
Qualifications (Essential for mobile role)
*
NVQ or HNC in Mechanical Engineering / Plant Maintenance / Heavy Plant or similar
*
This is required in order to obtain a CSCS Blue Card for site access
