Mechanical Fitter Wanted! \n Location: Leicester | Full Time \n Salary: £32K (£49K OTE including overtime) | On Site\n\nWe’re working with a market-leading manufacturer based in Leicester, specialising in heavy plant equipment. Due to continued growth, they’re now looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to join their workshop team.\n\nThis is a hands-on role where you’ll be building large-scale machinery from the ground up — ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and being part of a solid engineering environment.\n\nRoles & Responsibilities \n\nBuilding and assembling plant machinery from scratch\nWorking from detailed engineering drawings\nUsing a range of hand tools and workshop equipment\nSupporting with installation and fitting of mechanical components\nWorking as part of a skilled shop floor team\n\nRequirements \n\nEngineering or mechanical background\nExperience building or assembling machinery/equipment\nAbility to read and work from engineering drawings\nConfident using hand tools\nComfortable in a physical, hands-on role\nHappy working in a workshop and occasionally outdoors in the elements\n\nWhat’s On Offer\n\n£14–£17 per hour depending on experience\nStable, long-term opportunity with a well-established business\nPlenty of overtime available\nOpportunity to work on large, interesting engineering projects\nSupportive team environment\n\nNext Steps\n\nApply to this Mechanical Fitter role through this advert.
