Mon - Thurs: (06:00 - 14:00) Fri (06:00 - 12:45)

Mon - Thurs: (14:00 - 22:15) Fri (12:45 - 18:15)

Salary: Up to £41,000

The Role:

We are looking for a skilled Fitter to join our Assembly & Test team within the Thermal Value Stream. This is a hands-on, precision-focused role where you will assemble, test and inspect high-quality aerospace components that play a critical part in aircraft performance and reliability.
\n

Responsibilities of the role:
\n
\n Assemble aerospace components following detailed work instructions and engineering drawings
\n
Use manual and powered tools to dress and prepare components
\n
Carry out Product Acceptance Testing (PAT) to ensure components meet specification
\n
Use inspection equipment (verniers, micrometers, CMM, shadowgraph etc.) to verify product conformity
\n
Understand key component features and select the correct tools for each task
\n
Maintain excellent standards of safety, quality and 5S/housekeeping
\n
Support process improvements, basic problem-solving solving and team-based activities
\n
\n
\n
Skills required:
\n
\n Mechanical or engineering assembly experience (aerospace experience desirable)
\n
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and PAT requirements
\n
Skilled in using inspection and measurement tools
\n
Basic computer skills (SAP/Excel/Word experience is ideal)
\n
Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow detailed instructions
\n
