We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join one of our growing client based in Gloucester
Key Responsibilities - Mechanical Field Service Engineer
- Deliver maintenance services and repairs to pellet mill equipment across farming biomass energy waste and milling environments throughout the UK
- Carry out planned maintenance inspections breakdown response and repairs on gearboxes drive shafts hydraulics pumps motors conveyors and associated heavy machinery
- Work closely with customers on site to maximise production and minimise downtime
- Identify underperforming equipment and capacity limitations and communicate findings to engineering and sales teams
- Manage time effectively to meet customer deadlines while working as part of a flexible and dedicated service team
Qualifications & Requirements - Mechanical Field Service Engineer
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a heavy industrial environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles troubleshooting and preventative maintenance techniques
- Experience maintaining gearboxes bearings and associated rotating equipment
- Engineering based qualification or equivalent overseas qualification
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and work away from home

- Overtime including call out and weekend work paid at enhanced rates
- 40 hour working week with xbpsjku early finish on Fridays when depot based
- All expenses covered for overnight stays
