Mechanical EstimatorLocation: WarwickshireJob type: Permanent We're currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a growing and well-established mechanical services contractor.This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to play a key role within a pre-construction team, supporting the delivery of high-quality mechanical projects across a varied portfolio.The OpportunityReporting into the Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical installations, maintenance, and repair works. You'll work closely with internal teams as well as external suppliers and subcontractors to ensure commercially viable and technically sound submissions.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce detailed and accurate estimates based on tender documentation and project specificationsAnalyse labour, materials, and market trends to ensure competitive pricingIdentify and incorporate project risks, ensuring appropriate allowances are includedSource and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractorsPrepare clear cost breakdowns, programmes, and supporting documentationCollaborate with internal stakeholders to gather technical and commercial informationSupport bid reviews and assist in the finalisation of tender submissionsContribute to ongoing improvements in estimating processes and systemsCandidate RequirementsProven experience in a Mechanical Estimator role (or similar) within construction or building servicesStrong understanding of mechanical installations and industry standardsProficiency in estimating software and Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines independentlyPerformance ExpectationsHigh accuracy of estimates (target within 5% of final project cost)Strong bid conversion ratesConsistent on-time submission of tendersEffective engagement with supply chain partnersThorough risk identification and cost planningActive contribution to process improvementsWhy Apply?Join a reputable and growing contractor with a strong pipeline of workOpportunity to play a key role in project success from the outsetCollaborative and supportive team environmentLong-term career development potentialInterested?Apply today or get in touch to discuss the opportunity in more detail.JBRP1_UKTJ
