Mechanical Estimator (Contract - Potential to Go Permanent) London Day Rate / Salary: Competitive (DOE) An established M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join its pre-construction team on a contract basis , with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role. Role Overview You will take responsibility for the preparation and development of mechanical tenders , working on projects typically valued up to £6m , with the potential for larger schemes. This role requires someone who can work independently, producing accurate and competitive tenders from first principles. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for projects up to £6m+ Use Ensign estimating software to produce accurate cost plans and submissions Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation Carry out detailed take-offs and build-ups from first principles Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options Support tender adjudications and handover to delivery teams Experience & Requirements Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the UK M&E sector
