A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their specialist team delivering complex, high-profile projects across defence, aerospace, and secure technology sectors. This is a chance to work on meaningful programmes that shape the future of infrastructure and security.

This role would suit candidates working in these roles: Mechanical Design Engineer, Systems Engineer, Project Engineer, Design Consultant, Safety Engineer, Technical Author, CAD Engineer, Engineering Analyst, Defence Engineer, or Engineering Manager.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Develop and refine mechanical design solutions that meet demanding client specifications.
Carry out engineering calculations to validate performance and compliance.
Produce and maintain technical documentation including specifications, reports, and design records.
Ensure project delivery aligns with agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Participate in formal design reviews and present findings to stakeholders.You will have the following qualifications and experience
Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Chartered status or actively working towards professional registration.
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and their application in regulated environments.
Experience across the full design lifecycle, from concept development to final selection.
