We’re currently partnered with a leading product development consultancy that’s experiencing an exciting phase of growth across their mechanical engineering division. With a strong pipeline of long-term projects across multiple industries, they’re looking to bring on board an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their high-performing technical team.
You’ll contribute to projects from early-stage concept development right through to prototyping and launch. Working alongside experts in electronics, software, and industrial design, you’ll be central in delivering elegant, functional, and manufacturable solutions based on client needs.
What We’re Looking For
A strong problem-solver with a creative, hands-on approach to design challenges, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced consultancy setting and adapt to varied project scopes. Confident communication is always a plus, when engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders in this business. Ideally, you will have experience in designing products for injection moulding and an understanding of manufacturing constraints and best practices.
Requirements
The perfect fit will have demonstrated experience in mechanical product development, including CAD/CAE tools, design for manufacture, and simulation. Along with a strong understanding of materials, processes, and prototyping techniques — from low-volume rapid prototyping to high-volume injection moulding.
Candidates need to be Degree-qualified (2:1 or above) in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution.
