Mechanical Design Engineer - Water Sector\n\nSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)\nLocations: Croydon, Swindon, or Exeter\nWorking Pattern: Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in the office\nType: Permanent\n\nAdvance TRS are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a solid foundation in the UK regulated water industry to join a growing and well-established engineering consultancy. This role is well suited to an engineer with 3+ years' experience working on water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a consultancy or framework environment.\n\nYou will contribute to the delivery of mechanical designs for a range of clean and wastewater projects, including work at Sewage Treatment Works, as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.\n\nThe Role\n\nProduce mechanical designs for water and wastewater projects across all design stages\nSupport AMP framework delivery, from concept through to detailed design\nCollaborate with civil, electrical, and process engineers to deliver coordinated solutions\nEnsure designs comply with UK water industry standards, client specifications, and regulations\nPrepare design calculations, reports, and technical documentation\n\nAbout You\n\nAt least 3 years' experience in mechanical design within the UK regulated water sector\nBackground in engineering consultancy or framework delivery\nStrong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and mechanical systems\nConfident working within multidisciplinary design teams\nAble to attend the Croydon, Swindon, or Exeter office 2-3 days per week\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nSalary between £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience\nHybrid working with flexibility\nSupportive, technically focused engineering environment\nLong-term career development within the water sector\nExposure to a wide range of regulated water projects\n\nEligibility\n\nApplicants must have the right to work in the UK and demonstrable experience working on UK regulated water industry projects.\n\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value in our company.
