ROLE – Mechanical Design Engineer

SALARY - £30,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Isle of Wight (hybrid working is available)

My client designs and manufactures bespoke equipment. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on the Isle of Wight on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

At least 1-3 years’ experience in a similar Design / Mechanical Engineering position Strong 3D CAD skills - ideally Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo or similar Experience designing sheet metal, precision equipment, machinery, or electronic products Degree qualified or similar in Mechanical Engineering Knowledge of a variety of materials – sheet metal, injection moulded plastics etc. Experienced designing products from concept to production Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Proficient using MS Office Excellent organisational skills and time management skills Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
