Ref: 24123\nThe role would suit someone with a mechanical design engineering technical background with design and detailing experience who enjoys solving mechanical design and assembly challenges\nMechanical Design Engineer - The Role:\n * Develop detailed mechanical designs, models, and drawings using SolidWorks CAD\n * Ensure designs meet project, functional, performance, and manufacturability requirements\n * Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and stress calculations\n * Review of technical documentation and check engineering drawing\n * Lead internal and external design reviews; provide technical direction to team members\n * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including software/control engineers, electrical engineers, and technicians/manufacturing engineers\n * Manage multiple projects, prioritising tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met\n * Liaise with customers, suppliers, and external service providers\n * Conduct prototype testing and validate designs against specifications\nMechanical Design Engineer - The Person:\n * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related discipline\n * Prior experience in mechanical design, especially for manufactured parts and test rigs\n * Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software\n * Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing techniques, and relevant industry standards\n * Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)\n * Experience with finite element analysis (FEA)\n * Background in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, or research and development (R&D) beneficial\n * Skilled in developing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)\n * General understanding of electrical systems and software/control equipment integration\nFor further information call John Anderson
