We're a well-established manufacturer of bespoke industrial machinery, and due to a growing customer base and increasing machine customisation, we're looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering team.
This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of mechanical designs from concept through to completion - working on new machines, retrofits, and upgrades, while producing high-quality technical documentation throughout.

What you'll be doing:
Creating and developing mechanical designs in SolidWorks
Producing sales layout drawings in SolidWorks or AutoCAD
Designing machinery to customer requirements and user specifications
Creating mechanical bills of materials (BOM) and 2D detail drawings
Developing pneumatic schematics
Compiling machine manuals and technical documentation
Providing technical support to the shop floor during machine builds
Liaising with cross-functional teams to resolve build and design issues
Completing quality documentation including test plans and validation documents
Identifying opportunities for product improvement and supporting implementation
