Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks)\n\n£40,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience\n\nGloucester\n\nPermanent Position\n\nThe Role\n\nWe’re seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong SolidWorks skills to produce high-quality drawings and CAD models for our range of Special Purpose Equipment. This is a fast-paced role with varied customer requirements, alongside opportunities to contribute to process improvements and technical documentation.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n• Produce SolidWorks models, GA drawings, and maintain the standard parts library.\n\n• Create customer approval, production, and as-built drawings, including GA and P&ID schematics.\n\n• Review drawings and calculations.\n\n• Manage engineering change requests.\n\n• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams.\n\n• Run small engineering projects from start to finish.\n\n• Prepare technical documents such as datasheets and O&M content.\n\nSkills & Experience\n\n• Experience designing mechanical/electrical equipment\n\n• Strong SolidWorks skills essential.\n\n• Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, and steelwork beneficial.\n\n• Electrical knowledge, AutoCAD 2D, and Revit experience advantageous.\n\nAttributes\n\n• High attention to detail and adherence to standards.\n\n• Strong teamwork and communication skills.\n\n• Willingness to learn new tools and processes.\n\n• Self-motivated, inquisitive, and results-driven.\n\n• Friendly, proactive, and positive attitude
