Our client, a leading multi-disciplinary design and engineering consultancy, seek an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing Manchester office. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering innovative, sustainable, and technically robust mechanical engineering designs across a variety of sectors, including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities: Design of HVAC, hot and cold water, drainage, and other mechanical building systems. Carry out detailed mechanical engineering design and calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., Hevacomp, IES, Revit MEP, AutoCAD). Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines within the consultancy. Prepare specifications, equipment schedules, and tender documentation. Conduct site inspections and surveys, including condition and dilapidation reports. Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent is met.
