Data Centre HVAP Technician The Data Centre HVAP Technician will oversee and supervise both planned and reactive maintenance activities, working closely with the Building Engineering Supervisor and Engineering Shift Leader. This role is responsible for ensuring all maintenance works are carried out in full compliance with site policies, procedures, and relevant health and safety legislation.
As an Authorised Person (HVAP), the post holder will ensure all safety documentation and permits are completed to the highest standard, in line with company policies and safe systems of work. The role reports directly to the Engineering Shift Leader and supports shift teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed timescales.
This is a continental shift role suited to an experienced HVAP professional.
Role Summary Carry out routine maintenance on building plant, equipment, and systems, ensuring all works meet or exceed agreed service level agreements (SLAs). Respond to Building Management System (BMS) alarms and carry out emergency repairs as required. Manage the Permit to Work system, ensuring appropriate controls and authorisations are in place. Produce and utilise switching schedules, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) in line with company policies and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
