Key Responsibilities: To manage design consultants in order to obtain a detailed design that complies with the programme and the contract with the Client. And to own the design process from end to end. To be responsible within their field of the development of the design by the Consultants. To prepare and chair progress meetings with the Client and the Consultants/Designers as required by the specifications and the Contract. To monitor design growth and look for efficiencies. To develop the design with constructability in mind and to engage with the operations and delivery teams for frequent feedback to ensure designs are fit for delivery purpose. To develop the design with the final operation of the plant in mind and to engage frequently with operations teams (internal and Client's) for feedback to ensure fit for purpose. To collaborate with the Consultants/designers and the Client to get design approved and accepted by the Client in a timely manner (achieving closure of comments). To review specs for field works and surveys and manage subcontractors to deliver the information required for design progress in a timely manner.
