Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a 6-month interim contract supporting multiple commercial and industrial sites across the South East.

This is a hands-on role requiring a technically strong M&E engineer with proven fault-finding capability across both electrical and mechanical building services systems. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating independently, managing priorities, and delivering high-quality maintenance support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across electrical and mechanical plant

· Carry out reactive maintenance and complex fault diagnosis

· Fault finding on single and three-phase electrical systems.

· Inspection, testing, and certification of electrical works in line with BS 7671.

· Maintenance of mechanical systems including pumps, motors, valves, actuators, pipework and HVAC plant.

· Diagnose issues within control panels and BMS-connected systems.

· Repair and replace electrical components including contactors, relays, drives, and distribution boards.

· Support minor installation and upgrade projects.

· Ensure all works are completed in compliance with H&S legislation and site procedures.

· Produce clear service reports and technical documentation.
