Are you a Maths graduate looking to gain experience in education?

A well-regarded secondary school in Havering is seeking a Maths Academic Mentor to support students across the mathematics department.

As a Maths Academic Mentor, youll work with pupils in KS3 to KS4 , providing classroom assistance, subject-specific intervention, and academic mentoring. Youll also support learners with SEN , helping to remove barriers to learning and promote engagement in Mathematics.

Key responsibilities: Providing in-class support in Mathematics lessons

Running 1:1 and group interventions for underachieving students

Helping with lesson resources, planning, and marking

Supporting students with SEND or EAL backgrounds

This role is ideal for aspiring Maths teachers or those interested in supporting students in Mathematics.

Were looking for: A 2:1 or First-Class degree in Mathematics or a related field

A genuine interest in education and social development

Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
