We are looking for an educator who excels at breaking down complex numbers into manageable, everyday concepts for students with additional learning requirements. Your Impact: Practical Learning: Create and teach Maths lessons that focus on "real-world" application, helping SEN learners navigate the world around them. Tailored Instruction: Use your expertise to modify the National Curriculum, utilising entry-level frameworks and P-Scales to match individual learning paces. Progress Tracking: Document incremental gains and celebrate the "small wins" that build a student's self-esteem and autonomy. Holistic Collaboration: Work alongside therapists and support staff to ensure classroom goals mirror the objectives laid out in each student's EHCP. Comprehensive Care: Foster a safe, inclusive space which may include providing personal care to ensure students are comfortable and focused. What You Bring: Certification: Valid UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Experience: A proven track record of teaching Mathematics in a UK SEN or alternative provision setting. Adaptability: The ability to pivot your teaching style for diverse needs (such as ASD, SLD, or ADHD) and maintain a calm, structured classroom. Character: A resilient, patient, and team-focused mindset. Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or readiness to process one immediately).
