This hands-on role is vital in supporting the smooth running of operations by ensuring the timely and accurate purchasing of all direct and indirect manufacturing materials. Reporting to the Purchasing and Materials Manager, you will work closely with various departments, maintaining stock accuracy and availability.\n\nThis position would suit someone from a manufacturing background with experience using MRP/ERP systems and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nRun MRP and place purchase orders as instructed by the Purchasing and Materials Manager.\n\nExpedite purchase orders and maintain up-to-date delivery schedules.\n\nKeep purchasing records accurate and up to date (contracts, quotes, orders, certifications, and supplier declarations).\n\nIdentify new suppliers, negotiate pricing and lead times, and present viable alternatives.\n\nResolve supplier invoice queries efficiently.\n\nMaintain accurate part and supplier records within the MRP system.\n\nManage inventory levels to support manufacturing output and forecasting.\n\nProduce monthly supplier performance reports.\n\nSupport improvement projects and maintain QMS processes.\n\nCarry out general administrative tasks, filing, and system housekeeping.\n\nWork collaboratively with manufacturing, engineering, stores, sales, and accounts teams.\n\nMaintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\nExperience: Purchasing in a manufacturing environment.\n\nSystems: MRP/ERP systems and Excel proficiency.\n\nAnalytical: Strong attention to detail.\n\nCommunication: Clear verbal and written skills.\n\nOrganisation: Manage multiple tasks independently.\n\nResilience: Work well under pressure.\n\nSupplier Management: Maintain key supplier relationships.\n\nPlease apply immediately if you feel as though you are suitable and are interested in the position
