Position: Material Resource Planner – Sheffield

Location: Sheffield Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 Working Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:30am–5:00pm; Friday, 8:30am–2:00pm Holiday Entitlement: 32 days Additional Benefits: Pension scheme, private healthcare, and more
We are seeking a capable and motivated Material Resource Planner to join a reputable and growing manufacturing organisation in Sheffield. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of material planning processes, enhance procurement efficiency, and support operational success across production teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and schedule raw materials to align with production requirements
*
Monitor stock levels, forecasts, and supplier performance
*
Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in ERP/MRP systems
*
Assist in new product development and continuous improvement initiatives
*
Build and manage supplier relationships to reduce lead times
*
Expedite urgent orders to ensure timely manufacturing flow
Candidate Profile:
*
Minimum three years’ experience in material planning, purchasing, or buying
*
Background in SME, manufacturing or engineering sectors preferred
